Lucie’s getting ready to take on the Alton Towers Kids’ Race this weekend, and she’s turning every step into an opportunity to help other children and families living with eczema.
Eczema has never made things easy for Lucie. Now she’s showing just how strong she can be.
At just six months old, Lucie developed severe eczema, and since then it has been a huge part of her and her family’s lives.
For Lucie, eczema has meant painful, inflamed skin, relentless itching, sleepless nights, infections, hospital stays and endless creams and treatments. Her mum, Stacey, tells us there have been days when simply getting dressed, having a bath or getting through bedtime has felt overwhelming.
“Eczema has affected Lucie physically and emotionally in ways that people don’t always see. There have been times when her skin has been so painful and uncomfortable that she hasn’t been able to enjoy the simple things other children take for granted.”
But despite everything she has been through, Lucie continues to amaze her family with her strength.

Now, she is taking on her first ever charity fun run at Alton Towers, raising money for Eczema Outreach Support to help other children and families living with eczema.
“I couldn’t be prouder of her.”

For Stacey, supporting EOS is deeply personal. She knows first-hand how isolating eczema can feel as a parent, and how difficult it can be when you’re searching for answers and trying to help your child through painful and challenging times.
“There have been so many moments where I’ve wished there was more support, more understanding and someone who truly understood what we were going through.”
That’s why Lucie’s fundraising means so much. By taking on her first charity run, she is helping raise awareness and vital funds so EOS can continue supporting other children and families living with eczema.
