Walking with Heart: Nicola Takes on the Glasgow Kiltwalk For the Second Time

This April, Nicola McLean is returning as an EOS Fundraising Star, and will once again join the Glasgow KiltwalkShe’s not just a walker: she’s a mum determined to make life better for families living with eczema.

EOS is a charity close to her heart.

“I chose EOS as my charity for the Kiltwalk” she explains, “So they can help more people. My youngest son has Eczema, and my family has received support in the past. The understanding and advicI’ve received has made a massive difference.”

She speaks powerfully about what that support means: “It’s helped my son knowing other people know how he feels and he’s not alone.”

“Eczema is difficult to cope with as a parent and can be soul destroying, feeling helpless watching your child suffer. A lot of people don’t understand, they think it’s eczema, they are just itchy.”

Nicola reminds us why EOS matters: “Having an organisation to turn to with people who actually understand is wonderful and very much needed.”

At EOS, we are continuously inspired by the amazing community of families who stand up to help each other manage eczema, and we’re incredibly grateful to Nicola. She truly is one of our stars – thank you Nicola!

Feeling inspired? The Glasgow Kiltwalk is happening on 26 April. You can see all the Kiltwalks or other challenges on EOS’s Challenge Events page.
