The Kiltwalk is back for 2021 – and Eczema Outreach Support could pay for your space in return for fundraising for us.
The Kiltwalk is is taking place on Sunday 26 September in Glasgow after the 2020 events were cancelled due to the pandemic.
There’s two walks available: the Mighty Stride (16.5 miles) for those feeling energetic and the Wee Wander (3.5 miles) which is perfect for little legs.
The Kiltwalk is a great way to raise funds for EOS as Sir Tom Hunter tops up funds raised by an incredible 50% meaning EOS will get 150% of everything you raise. We have funded spaces available if you can commit to raising a minimum of £50 per walker.
Members Sammiejo and daughter Lilly (11) have signed up to walk next month and raise funds for their favourite charity.
Sammiejo, a support for learning worker from Glasgow, said they wanted to give back to EOS. She said: “EOS has done a lot for us and really helped over the years so we wanted to sign up for The Kiltwalk and raise funds. We were meant to walk it in 2020 for EOS so we are glad we are getting the chance now.
“Someone told us about EOS a few years ago so we signed up and have went along to a few events. Lilly also had a workshop with her class asnd one of the EOS team which was great. She was embarrassed about her skin bleeding or being infected but now the class has been educated on eczema and are more understanding.”
Suzi Holland, acting CEO for EOS, said: “The Kiltwalk is a great way to raise funds for Eczema Outreach Support since the Tom Hunter Foundation adds 50 per cent to the total raised. This means that even if you can raise the £50 minimum, EOS will get £75 donated.
“The pandemic has meant that fundraising has become more difficult with many major fundraising events cancelled so we are delighted to see The Kiltwlk return. We hope some members near to Glasgow don their tartan and get their walking boots looked out for EOS.”
