It’s not just grown-ups taking on amazing challenges to help families living with eczema, the kids are stepping up to the start (and finish!) lines too!

Meet fundraising superstar Ezra.  

Ezra hasn’t just taken on the Run Bournemouth 1.5k for EOS once… but twice! And in doing so, this incredible young runner has raised over £1,600 for other children and families living with eczema. 

Having eczema himself, Ezra understands first-hand the challenges it can bring. That’s what inspired him to take action, raising both awareness and vital funds so that other children can get the support they need. 

Ezra’s mum, Georgia, shared how much it meant to find EOS:   

“I was so happy to find that there was a resource out there to educate people on the real impact of eczema. I’ve had friends and family who assumed it was a minor skin condition that caused some itching, when it’s much more than that and affects all aspects of Ezra’s life.”   

She explained how important it was to be able to share that understanding:   

“When I first found EOS, I shared it with friends, family and even Ezra’s school, because it felt so useful that there was something people could learn from.”   

Most importantly, EOS helped during one of Ezra’s most difficult moments:   

“I found EOS when Ezra was having a very bad flare-up, and I wanted to show him he wasn’t alone.”   

Since then, fundraising has had a powerful impact on Ezra too:   

“Raising money for EOS has given him such a positive outlook on his eczema, which I’m so grateful for.”   

Ezra’s determination shines through in everything he does. Even when running makes him hot and itchy, it never stops him, and he takes real pride in what he’s achieving.   

As Ezra puts it:   

“I think it’s really cool that my friends can learn more about eczema, and I can do awesome things to raise money for EOS.” 

That resilience is what makes Ezra so special. Despite the challenges eczema can bring, he shows that it doesn’t have to hold you back from doing something amazing.   

At EOS, we are so proud of Ezra. His kindness, courage and determination are truly inspiring. He’s a fantastic example of how young people can make a real difference.
