Kind member Macy gave up a day to fundraise for EOS and held a tombola at her local David Lloyd gym.

The 8-year-old organised the whole event herself, from choosing what toys and prizes there should be, to running the tombola all day.

Macy also ran a name the teddy game and raised £81.50 for EOS.

Mum, Maxine, said the whole family is proud of the youngster. She said: “Macy joined EOS and was thrilled to get the welcome pack and signed up to get a pen friend too. She doesn’t know anyone with severe eczema like hers so it’s been wonderful for her to know there are other kids out there going through the same things.

“She immediately decided she wanted to raise money and was inspired by a school tombola to do the same. She was great and organised the whole thing herself – from folding all the tickets to chatting to the customers. All I was needed for was helping with change!”

Charitable Macy has previously raised money for her local hospice and is looking forward to EOS coming to her school to talk about eczema later this month.
